Abstract: Whether the electrode coating is easy to fall off is an important factor affecting the battery performance and life. In this paper , the peeling force value of the surface coating of the electrode sample was tested by the 180 degree peeling test, and the test principle, the parameters of the XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine, the applicable range, the test process, etc. were introduced. The adhesion fastness of the layer provides a reference.

2 , test samples

In this paper, a black coated electrode sheet is used as a test sample.

3 , the test basis

At present, the test method standards related to the adhesion fastness of the electrode coating have not been released in China. The sample preparation part of this test is carried out according to the bonding strength of the ink layer in GB/T 7707-2008 "Gravure Decoration Print". The process is carried out according to GB 8808-1988 "Soft Composite Plastic Material Peel Test Method".

4 , test equipment

In this test, the peel strength of the sample was tested using an XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine.

4.1 Test principle

This test evaluates the adhesion of the coating to the electrode surface by testing the adhesive tape to remove the coating from the electrode surface. During the test, the test is clamped in the lower clamp, the clamp is fixed, and the free end of the tape used for the adhesive coating is fixed in the upper clamp, and the clamp can be moved upward according to the set speed, thereby driving the adhesive tape to remove the coating from the coating. The electrode surface is peeled off. The force value sensor of the upper clamp configuration records the force value generated by the peeling process in real time, and the average value of the force value is recorded as the peeling force value of the electrode coating.

5 , the test process

6 , test results

The test results of 5 samples tested in this test were 0.831 N/15mm , 0.806 N/15mm , 0.846 N/15mm , 0.811 N/15mm , 0.795 N/15mm , respectively, and the coating of the sample was peeled off from the electrode surface. The required force is 0.818 N/15mm .

7 , conclusion

The adhesion fastness of the coating on the electrode surface is an important factor affecting the battery life. In this paper, the 180- degree peeling test method is used to test the force value required to peel the coating from the surface of the electrode sample, and to characterize the adhesion fastness of the coating on the electrode surface.
