3 Take 1g of methionine product separately into two 250ml flasks, add 50ml each of 1:3 hydrochloric acid and 40% sodium hydroxide solution. The pseudomethionine is insoluble or partially soluble in the above solution, the lower part has a white precipitate, the upper solution is cloudy, and the true methionine should be dissolved in the above solution, and the solution is clarified.
4 Add 30mg of methionine product and 50ml small beaker, add 1ml of saturated copper sulfate solution. Counterfeit methionine does not change color, it is light blue in saturated copper sulfate solution, and true methionine is blue.
5 The amino acid characteristic reaction was positive. The methionine sample was 0.1 g, dissolved in 100 ml of water. Take 5 ml of this solution, add 0.1 ml of ninhydrin solution, heat for 3 min, add water 20 ml, let stand for 15 min, the solution is reddish purple.
6 Take about 5mg of methionine in a 150ml bottle of stoppered iodine, add 50ml of water to dissolve, then add 2ml of 40% sodium hydroxide solution, shake and mix, add 0. 1mol / l silver nitrate solution 8 drops ~ 10 drops, then The mixture was shaken and then cooled in a water bath at 35 ° C to 40 ° C for 10 min, then cooled for 2 min, and 2 ml of 1:3 hydrochloric acid was added thereto, and the mixture was shaken. Counterfeit methionine does not change color, and after a few minutes of rest, there is a precipitate at the bottom, and the upper solution is turbid; and true methionine should be red.
