Once hematopoietic stem cells lose their "induction" to luteinizing hormone, they will continue to expand during puberty, eventually leading to excessive hematopoiesis and leukocytosis in the bone marrow, which is followed by an acceleration of the leukemia process.

Subsequent animal experiments have shown that if the hematopoietic stem cells of mice cannot be "sensitized" to adolescent luteinizing hormone by genetic modification, hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow of mice will be over-amplified, and peripheral blood leukocytes will increase abnormally, which proves that resistance Breaking the signal of luteinizing hormone will accelerate the onset of leukemia.

The hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow are the "primary ancestors" responsible for generating all the blood cells of the human body. They are rapidly expanded after birth, and grow to "brake" after puberty, and the number gradually stabilizes. The researchers pointed out that this work reveals a hidden "biological clock" in the body. Once the hematopoietic stem cells enter puberty, they will be "emergency braking".
