For fattening rabbits, rabbits with moderate fatness should be selected, and the finishing time should not exceed 30-40 days. The fattened rabbits can gain 1.0-1.5 kg in the finishing period.
Second, fattening technology
1, finishing feed. The fattening feed for meat rabbits is mainly concentrated materials, supplemented by green materials. If you formulate a mixed feed yourself, you must have 15% crude fiber, 17% protein, and 2.5% fat. The most suitable finishing feeds include barley, corn, bran, bean cakes, sweet potatoes, potatoes, etc., and appropriate amounts of bone meal, salt, charcoal powder, and inorganic salt are needed to supplement the feed.
2, castration fattening. The fattened rabbits are best castrated and young rabbits are usually castrated 8-10 weeks after birth.
3, limit sports. Meat rabbits during finishing, especially during late finishing, should restrict exercise to reduce feed consumption and accumulate fat. Meat rabbits in the finishing period are generally not suitable for stocking. They are best placed in a warm, quiet and dark environment for high-density rearing.
4, eat less meals. The fattening rabbits had poor appetite due to reduced exercise and the feed was mainly concentrated. In order to increase appetite, we should master the principle of eating less and more meals in order to increase their intake, while providing adequate drinking water.
5, careful management. Because of lack of exercise and illumination, meat rabbits have poor resistance and are susceptible to diseases. Therefore, rabbits should be carefully managed. Rabbit cages should be inspected and cleaned in a timely manner. Regular sterilization must ensure that rabbits in the finishing period can eat and eat well. Rest well so that it has a good health condition.
