Tomatoes are typical climacteric fruits, and their nutrients and hardness change during storage. Therefore, the changes of tomato fruit during storage were investigated, and the storability of tomato varieties was identified. The changes of storage characteristics of tomato fruits after harvest were studied to provide a scientific basis for the selection of tomato varieties.

3 test results and storage and transportation

(1) Fruit hardness : reflects the storage stability of the fruit to a certain extent

(2) Cohesiveness : reflects the size of the binding force between cells. The higher the cohesiveness, the finer the pulp is when chewed, and the better the taste.

(3) Viscoelasticity : reflects the distance the sample protrudes. Viscoelasticity also reflects the ability of the fruit to resist extrusion to a certain extent.

(4) Glue : It reflects the crushing ability of the fruit to a certain extent, and the transportability is good when the gel property is good.

(5) Chewing property : reflecting the firmness of the fruit. The higher the firmness, the better the crush resistance and the better the transportability.
