Medicinal value
[taste]: bitter taste; cold; toxic.
ã€Analysis】: Spleen; Lung; Kidney; Bladder; Large intestine; Small intestine.
ã€Functions】: The diarrhea is swollen, swelling and disintegration.
ã€Indications】: edema; ascites; stay in the chest; epilepsy; asthma cough; urine barriers.
ã€Usage and Dosage】: Oral: Into the pill, scattered, 0.5-1 g. For external use: Appropriate amount, deposited at the end of the study. Oral use of processed products.
ã€Medical base source】: The root of Euphorbiaceae plant Ganzi.
ã€Storage and Storage】: Excavate the roots before flowering in spring or after the seedlings in autumn, remove the soil, put the roots in the bamboo baskets, set up the flowing water channels, put some rags or coal gangues into the baskets, and stir them with a wooden stick. Net skin, dry. Or smoke with sulphur before drying.
ã€Purgation effect】
Ganzi can stimulate the bowel, increase bowel movements, produce diarrhea. The ethanol extract of raw kansui has a strong diarrhea effect on mice and has greater toxicity. The diarrhea effect and toxicity of vinegar extract are reduced, and the ethanol extract of raw kansui or kankan wolfberry is taken orally in mice. 10-50g crude drug / kg, about half of the animals showed significant diarrhea, a strong role of raw kansui, toxicity is also relatively large, 58 mice after treatment, 11 deaths, no death of Fudan wolfberry. A suspension of 6-9 g/kg of Ganzi or Zhigan Dian powder also had diarrhea but no death. Ethanol extract residue or konjac decoction does not have a diarrhea effect, so the diarrhea active ingredient is present in the alcohol extract, which may be a kind of resin. [4]
ã€Diuresis】 diuretic effects on the human body. No diuretic effect on rats. There have also been reports of healthy people taking oral Ganzi decoction without significant diuresis.
[Induction of labor]
Experiments were conducted to induce gestation in guinea pigs with ethanol extracts of kansui. It was found that either peritoneal or intramuscular injection of kansui extracts showed some anti-fertility effects. And that the effect of induction and production of Ganzi have a close relationship, when the dose is 10mg/kg, the induction effect can occur.
3.1. Effect of early pregnancy on mice: Pregnant rats were randomly divided into 5 groups of 9-10 in each group. On the 6th day of gestation, 20, 15, 10, and 5 mg intramuscular injections per day were taken, once daily. After four consecutive injections, the control group was given the same amount of physiological saline (addition of appropriate amount of ethanol). On the 10th day, the uterus was necropsied, and the ovule size and color were used to judge whether it was a normal pregnancy, and the success rate of each group was calculated. The experimental results showed that the success rate of pregnancy in the control group was 90%, although the experimental group was slightly lower, but there was no statistical difference.
3.2. Discontinuation of Ganzi on mid-term pregnancy in mice:
On the 10th day of gestation, the mice were necropsied under ether anesthesia, and the normal embryos were selected and continued to be raised after suturing the abdominal cavity. Randomized on the 12th day of pregnancy, and started drug administration. The number and route of drug administration are the same as the previous experiment. A small proportion of vaginal bleeding occurred during the administration period. The necropsy was sacrificed on the 16th day of pregnancy to observe the growth of the embryos. Experiments showed that the size of embryos in the administration group was not neat and the color was dark red. Some fetal deaths are pale and small. Some of these embryos have detached from the endometrium and liquefy. The length of the surviving fetus in the death group was less than 1.5 cm, but the fetus length in the control group was ≥1.5 cm. The stillbirth rate in the administration group was significantly higher than that in the control group.
3.3. Effect of Ganzi on mid-term pregnancy in rabbits: Female white rabbits weighing 3.1-4.0 kg were used. After mating with male rabbits, spermatozoa were found on the first day of pregnancy. Dosing began on the second day. 8 rats in the treatment group were given a 500-fold dilution of physiological saline when they were in use, and were intravenously injected at 5 mg/kg. In the control group, no drugs were given. Two rabbits in the control group and three rabbits in the administration group were necropsied after the first administration (2-6 hours). The other five administration times and necropsy were performed according to the experiment. The results showed that Ganzi extract had a significant effect on the termination of mid-term pregnancy in rabbits.
3.4. Effect of kansui on uterine contraction: Normal and mature female rats and rats, 7-10 days and 11-15 days pregnant mice, 6-9 days pregnant and 9-14 days pregnant mice; normal female mature rabbits, Estradiol was injected subcutaneously 2ug/time/day before the experiment for 2 consecutive days. Immediately after the animal was sacrificed, the uterine horn was dissected and the middle section of the uterine horn was cut (2 cm). The uterine curve was traced according to the Magnus method and stored on the other side in 40°C Tyrode's solution. Each time the drug was added to 25 ml of Tyrode's solution, 0.2 ml of Ganzi extract was added, 0.2 ml of absolute ethanol was used as a control, and 1 drop of the posterior pituitary was injected (10 u/ml). Prostaglandin E215ug was tested and the results showed that The role of isolated uterus in various animal physiological conditions (including early pregnancy, mid-pregnancy, and normal conditions) is not constant. In most cases, it inhibits contraction or has no effect; sometimes it also enhances contraction. However, these effects were similar to those caused by ethanol, and the posterior pituitary gland caused almost all uterine contractions. The experiment also showed that Ganzi can significantly reduce the uterine contractility of prostaglandin E2.
Analgesic effects Ganzi esters A and B have analgesic effects on mice writhing and are toxic.
Other effects of raw radix breviscapus can increase the contractile force of the isolated frog heart, but does not change its frequency, and a large amount inhibits it.
