There are many factors in the management of laying hens. Today we talk about diet management, which is eating and drinking.

Drinking water: Water and materials are very important, but the consequences of water shortage are more serious than the lack of material, because the metabolism and the role of water are much faster. Water is important for regulating body temperature, nutrient functioning, digestion, absorption, and waste removal. Therefore, more attention should be paid to the management of drinking water. Normal eggs have a water content of more than 70%, and each chicken needs 250-360 ml of water per day. Poor water quality can also lead to decreased egg production and egg and egg weight. Therefore, laying hens should be provided in a timely manner to meet the drinking water standards, adequate clean drinking water, try to use a nipple drinker, should be wiped daily, regular disinfection. In addition, when drinking water can be immunized at the same time, that is drinking water immunity, then the selected water should not contain chlorine, organic matter and disinfectants.

Feeding: Layers are fed mostly with dry powders and some are pelleted. Feeding times are generally 1-2 times a day. Many highly mechanized farms use mechanical automatic feeding. If feeding only once a day, the general schedule is better at 3 pm; if feeding twice, it is usually before 9 am and after 3 pm. Normal laying hens have an average daily feed intake of 100-120 grams.
